The Community Counseling Center began as the Community Addiction Clinic in 1985 with the goal to provide high quality outpatient care for those suffering from substance abuse and their families. Since its founding, the clinic has expanded its services to include diagnostic assessments, anger management, individual and group therapy, professional training, employee assistance programs, community education and prevention activities, Batterer's Intervention Groups, Compulsive Overeater's Group, Civil Protective Custody, Detoxification Services, and Residential Services.

The clinic changed its name to the Community Counseling Center in 1992 to reflect the broader range of services available to our clients.

Detoxification services and civil protective custody services were added in October 2001 in response to community need.

The residential component was opened in 2002.
